About Us

It all started the day Scott forgot to put a spoon in his lunch bag when he was working as an apprentice to a furniture maker. He took a piece of scrap wood and quickly shaped a spoon. Scott had majored in art and design at OCAD and wanted to create something both beautiful and functional, which led him to explore working with wood.

In 2007, following an apprenticeship, Scott worked in a canoe-seat factory in Collingwood. When he was laid off, he wanted to work for himself. The home workshop was in the garage, and at 20 degrees below zero, it was too cold for the glue to set so he could only make single piece products.

That is when he remembered spoons.

Scott exhibits his work at select craft shows around the country, to include the annual state show of the Pennsylvania Designer Craftsmen, American Craft Council shows Paradise City shows, the Philadelphia Buyer's Market, and the New York International Gift Show. A busy show schedule requires a lot of travelling; fortunately, Scott is often accompanied by his wife and vegan chef, Kait.

Together, we find it rewarding to share in the offering of quality Canadian made arts and crafts. - Love Scott & Kait
